In a short time, instructor Mai's lessons provide a unique method to learn the art of traditional Japanese dance while dramatically improving your posture and movement, teaching the basics of beautiful movement and of standing and posing elegantly in a short time.

The courses can be tailored to meet your personal needs and goals. This will allow you to achieve optimum results, in the shortest time to attain long-lasting beauty, confidence, and happiness in your daily life.

20 Minute Introductory Trial Lesson

We also offer a "trial lesson" for those interested in experiencing FullmyBijin Academy for the first time. The lesson price is 5,500 yen tax included. The 20-minute trial lesson will give you a start to your beauty in just 20 minutes.

In a short time, you will learn tips on improving your posture that can be put into practice immediately. You will also learn the basics of beautiful movements and of standing and posing elegantly.

Package Dance Course

For a limited time, FullmyBijin Academy will offer a package dance course at the special price of 98,000 yen. The regular price is 118,000 yen. All six discounted lessons include personalized training and instruction from founding instructor Mai Sakurakawa. After the student has completed the course, they will be able to perform the the one minute dance with ease and enjoyment. We offer three dance courses: (1) The Sakura Sakura "Cherry Blossom" Dance, the (2) the Tanabata-Sama "Star Festival" Dance, and (3) the Ayame "Iris Flower" Dance.

Note: Each dance has its own music and choreography and follows the "Shinakya Course Description" outlined below.

(1) Sakura Sakura "Cherry Blossom" Dance

Cherry blossom season in Japan, known as sakura season, is one of the most celebrated times of the year. It typically occurs in the spring, with the timing varying depending on the region.

The exact timing can vary each year based on weather conditions, but the period from late March to early April is commonly the peak bloom time in many parts of Japan. During this time, people often participate in hanami (flower viewing) parties under the blooming cherry trees. The beauty of the cherry blossoms and the cultural practices surrounding them make this a truly special and picturesque season.

(2) Tanabata-Sama "Star Festival" Dance

The Tanabata Festival is based on a romantic legend from ancient Chinese mythology, which was later adopted into Japanese culture. According to the story, Orihime (the Weaver Star) and Hikoboshi (the Cowherd Star) are two stars separated by the Milky Way. They were allowed to meet only once a year, on the seventh day of the seventh month, when the stars align, making their reunion possible.

In Japanese culture, the festival is associated with the idea of fulfilling wishes and celebrating love and romance. It is also linked to the Chinese Qixi Festival, which shares a similar theme of star-crossed lovers.

(3) Ayame "Iris Flower" Dance

Irises have symbolic meaning in Japanese culture, representing purity and elegance. They are also linked to the traditional practice of "kado no matsuri" (flower festivals), which celebrate the blooming of specific flowers at particular times of the year.

The Ayame Festival as a formal event began to take shape in the Edo period (1603-1868). During this time, the cultivation and appreciation of irises became more organized, and local festivals were established to honor their beauty. The festival grew in popularity and spread to various regions.

Today, the Ayame Festival is celebrated in several locations across Japan. In Sumida, Tokyo, for example, the festival is held at the Sumida Park Iris Garden, where visitors can enjoy beautiful displays of irises in full bloom. The festival typically occurs in early June, when the irises are at their peak.

Note: Students can take at most 3 lesson a day and at least one lesson per month.

Shinayaka Course Description

1-1 Shinayaka Step Lesson

Session 1: You will learn will learn and master the basic "Shinayaka Step" ♫ for the first part of the song. (50 min)

Session 2: You will learn and master the basic "Shinayaka Step" ♫ for the second part of the song. (50 min)

Note: For the sessions, please bring the appropriate props mentioned in the product descriptions below which will be used during the dance.

The supple footwork you learn will greatly enhance your charm ♡

After, the student can do the one minute dance with a special understanding of the foot work.

1-2 Shinayaka Method Lesson

Session 1: Highly recommended for those who want to acquire beautiful posture and a flowing, graceful manner. (50 min)

Session 2: We will do exercises that lead to beautiful photography and posing through body usage. (50 min)

Please master these to become a graceful person ♡

Note: Only the method is taught with no dance or props and only using intermittent music for guidance that is not the dance course music.

1-3 Shinayaka Dance Lesson (Using the method and dance together) 

Session 1: We connect the Shinayaka Method to the Shinayaka Dance. You will be able to perform the one minute dance well using the unique method of FullmyBijin Academy. Elegant and charming gestures will make you shine and feel happy. (50 min)

Session 2: This will be the finishing touch to the dance in which you dance by yourself. I will guide you to help perfect the dance while you enjoy the fun of expressing yourself to the music. Here you will have finally mastered the dance using the FullmyBijin Academy method. (50 min)

Instructor Certification

For those interested in becoming a FullmyBijin instructor, the student must complete: (1) The Sakura Sakura "Cherry Blossom" Dance Course, (2) the Tanabata-Sama "Star Festival" Dance Course, and (3) the Ayame "Iris Flower" Dance Course.

Upon completion of these three courses, and passing the examanination, the student may become a certified FullmyBijin Academy dance instructor. The certification fee is 100,000 Yen.

In the United States, we have instructors in Los Angeles, California, and Portland, Orgeon. In Japan, we have instructors in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nigata, Gifu, and the Kyushu area.
